If you want to experience the magic of the Sumatran rainforest but only have a day to spare, this trek is ideal for you. Spend 6–7 hours exploring the lush beauty of Gunung Leuser National Park, one of the last places on Earth where orangutans still roam freely in the wild.
Along the trail, you’ll encounter towering tropical trees, exotic plants, playful monkeys, colourful insects, and—if you’re lucky—orangutans and other rare wildlife. Our experienced guide will lead the way, sharing knowledge, spotting hidden animals, and ensuring a safe, enjoyable adventure.
Halfway through the trek, you’ll pause for a fresh jungle lunch, surrounded by the sounds of flowing water and birdsong. After recharging, the journey continues deeper into the rainforest as you uncover more of its secrets.
At the end of your trek, you’ll return to Bukit Lawang in the most unforgettable way — floating down the river on our jungle taxi, the traditional tube rafting. A perfect finish to a day full of discovery and excitement.
